| And the winner is... {Westminster wrap} |

Uno the beagle. Without digging in to the results, we saw a clip of Uno which appeared to be the walk between selection selection and final judging and the longhaired dachshund was walking directly behind the beagle. Since CNBC trimmed out the hounds portion of their rebroadcast on Monday night (and USA Networks was running some wrestling show), we never fully were able to discern if the longhaired dachshund in the shot was selected in the top three. Oh well, so much for a dachshund lover...
Beyond just bashing CNBC here are the official hound results, and yes that was a dachshund in #2.
Below are some recent news articles for you diehards out there.

The new puppies have arrived and they are two beautiful boys. Kirby was born on 06/01/07 and is a shaded red longhair. Rudy was born 08/02/07 and is a chocolate & tan longhair. We picked them up from Tolemac Farms in Dresden, Ohio. Deb Montgomery sure has a lot of nice puppies. New photos can be viewed here.

Update: on 04/11/08 our little Rudy passed away. He fought his affliction vigorously but he could not be saved. We miss you Rudy, we'll see you at the rainbow bridge. |

While the weather is still warm, we decided to make use of an old fireplace insert that has been in the shed for years. With all the trees around here constantly shedding large branches every time the wind blows, we have a large supply of firewood. So I'm bulding an outdoor fireplace as an extension of our patio. Needless to say, we'll be sipping mulled cider in front of a crackling fireplace on future cool autumn evenings. Currently, the pad is fully cured and 2/3rd's of the concrete block is installed. It's turning out to be a design as you go project but one thing is for certain is that it'll be a beautiful addition to our backyard. I'll post some photos of the progress soon! | |
