While the weather is still warm, we decided to make use of an old fireplace insert that has been in the shed for years. With all the trees around here constantly shedding large branches every time the wind blows, we have a large supply of firewood. So I'm bulding an outdoor fireplace as an extension of our patio. 
   Needless to say, we'll be sipping mulled cider in front of a crackling fireplace on future cool autumn evenings.
   Currently, the pad is fully cured and 2/3rd's of the concrete block is installed. It's turning out to be a design as you go project but one thing is for certain is that it'll be a beautiful addition to our backyard. I'll post some photos of the progress soon!
